After fishing with Captain Tommy Derringer four times over the past two years I can safely say that I would not choose another charter captain in St. Augustine. Every time we go with Captain Tommy we catch fish. He makes sure that we have a good time and we also learn a lot about various techniques for catching redfish, trout, flounder and other species. We fish with live and artificial baits and he helps us understand how the tides and moon effect fishing in our area. Tommy’s boat is clean and he treats us like he truly values our business. One of the most exciting days I’ve had fishing was when he showed us how to use a top water lure and I hooked an above the slot redfish. Watching that fish come out of the water and get the bait, then bringing the fish in… well, I can’t think of a better way to spend a morning – simply awesome.
